First few sewing projects

 These are the first few sewing projects i made when i took a sewing class.

A tissue pouch which can keep 3 tissue packs

 A small pouch with zipper

And a tote bag.

When Sewing Began

 When Kane had lung infection last year,  his doctor asked us to keep all the soft toys away from him. I stopped making amigurumi too. I decided to take sewing instead. I took a sewing class from a homemaker who has done sewing for years. I love it. I found another hobby.

On Mother's Day last year, i received my new Janome sewing machine as a gift. First project with my own Janome is sewing cover of course.

Hats

I love to crochet hats. It is easy and only need a skein or two yarns. You just need to decorate them and.. Ta Daa....

I made these for D. When i saw this cookies monster hat.. i told myself that i have to make this. It is so cute, isn't it? Not forgetting his favourite food.. Cookies.

This is for K. Elmo is a famous character from Sesame Street.  He is cute and sweet, just like K. I think Elmo is a good companion for Cookie monster.

 Owl... i loves Owl.. everything that is above Owl.. i love it. So i instantly felt in love when i saw this Owl hat. I made this for my nephew in Canada. Too bad Singapore is so hot or else i would have made this for my self

 A Square owl hat which i think it doesn't turn out very nice. But it still looks nice when i wear it.

 Yep. Hello Kitty.  I'm happy with how this hat turn out because the eyes, nose, whiskers, and bow are in the right place. Don't you think so?

Wedding Octopus

I made these 2 years ago for my cousin's wedding. She loves octopus. I've never met someone who loves octopus before...most of them like owl (i do too), pig, cow. So i decided to make a couple of octopus for their wedding.  I put a hat on the groom and a veil on the bride. The octopus pattern is from  Whimtastical Creations.

Character Toys

I made this Wiggles for my oldest son, D. He liked them so much when he was 2-3 years old. He loved the BIG RED CAR. But too bad i couldn't find any crochet pattern for a car, hence i only made for him the Wiggles.

I made him Dorothy too. He liked it so much. He would bring Dorothy everyday. It really made me happy to see how he loved Dorothy. Afterward he asked me to make Henry the Octopus.  Errrr.....

Then he liked OSO. I liked OSO he is such a cute bear. Too bad my OSO's head is too skinny..  :(

Amigurumi

These are amigurumi that i have made.

 I felt in love with this octopus when i saw pattern from Ana Paula Rimoli's book. Aren't they cute?

 I got this turtle pattern from the book too. Aren't they cute? Turtle with its baby and egg.

Look at these... Tea pot, cups, plate and a small bowl for sugar. Just nice for tea time.

 This giraffe pattern is from Lionbrand. It reminds me of Sophie the Giraffe. For some who do not know who is Sophie the Giraffe,.. it is a famous baby teether.

I always love owls. I think they are really cute, don't you think so? See.. how cute this graduation owl is.

 Fruits basket!!! Yay... it is really nice for house decoration or for pretend play. My youngest son , Kane loves to play with these fruits. Maybe it's just a phase or will he grow up to be chef? 

 This little piggy is in blue dress. It looks quite big in the picture but actually it is very small. But i still think it is cute and good for small hand. It is also good for key chain, etc.

 Ta Daaa... flowers in a potted plant! It is nice to brighten up the house. The good thing is i don't have to water it and it won't dry.

I felt in love the moment i finished these sun flower. I wish i have a patient to make a lot of sun flower and make them into a bouquet. Too bad.. i dun have it, maybe one day...

Crochet Baby stuffs

These were some projects that i made in the early days.

 I made these headband and booties for my niece 2 years ago. These were the projects that i got from Theresa's youtube video (tjw1963)

And this was the knitted hat i made with circular needle for my friends baby girl. Yes, knitted! I love the knitting result but i guess knitting didn't like me :( . So i decided to concentrate on the crochet at the moment :)

These baby hat and cardigan were projects from lionbrand. There are tons of easy free project for beginner in . You just need to search them... bags, amigurumi, hat, etc. 

 I made those for my friend's baby girl (yay.. another baby girl). I would say that i got better in crochetting but i was still not satisfied with the result. I guess i should practice more right? Practice makes prefect.

Crochet Journey Begin

Two years ago i started my crave in crochetting. I got these books from my hubby on my bday in 2011  Inside there are a lot of cute amigurumis patterns. These books are really good for beginner crocheted - like me. They have cute pictures and the instructions are well written.

To improve my skill, I would also searched videos in youtube about crochet and started with simply projects. You can always find everything in youtube nowadays, that's the power of technology :). Personally I liked Theresa videos (tjw1963),  her instruction were very clear and they were easy to follow. I learned a lot from her too.

Moki and Mac Mac is here

Yay.... Finally i managed to create my own blog. I've been waiting to create my blog long time back but can't think of any good name for it. I wanted the name that is unique and something that people can remember about. So here is Moki and Mac Mac.. Thanks to my 2 boys who gave me this name (haa... My blog's name was their assignment).

This blog will be about my journey in doing my hobby (sewing and crochet) and a little bits about my life.  I am a  beginner in crochet and sewing, i still need to follow other people's patterns but i hope 1 day i can create my own pattern and share it with you. I also hope this blog can bless and nspire you to pursue your hobby.
