Quilted iPad Air Cover

Do you remember that my hubby gave me an iPad air with hot pink casing embossed with Japanese culture on my birthday? Yes, that's the one.
It's been my working and playing companied ever since (apart from my husband and my 2 boys of course ;)).
It's been 2 months now, my hubby kept asking to make a cover for it because he could see the hot pink casing is getting dirty. I was thinking it already has a casing on it why would i need another cover to protect it?? But i think he is right, it's just to give MORE protection since it is a new iPad. So i agree to make one for me ^_^.

Thank God i found the way to make iPad cover in Ayumi's book (Zakka Along). Off the record, you must have this book, it has a lot of wonderful projects (from babies, kitchen, travel, stationery, quilt, etc) and the instructions are clear, it is easy to follow. I always use it as my reference.

So i referred to the book. I did a bit of changes with the design, size, added a velcro for easy closure, quilted it.... And TaaDaaaa ..... this is my iPad cover ^_^.

I am quiet happy with how it turns out. I love the cats fabric and the yellow lining with brown binding. It is so matching ^_^.

I bought the cat fabric from Fabric.com for quite some time. At first i didn't know what to use it for as i didn't expect the print to be big but who knows that it is just a nice size for my cover and it turns out beautiful. ^_^. I love it.
